Summary:
The Mental Health Worker is responsible for providing social service and discharge planning functions for the inpatient behavioral health unit.
The Mental Health Worker completes psychosocial assessments, contributes to the integrated treatment plan, runs therapeutic groups, coordinates discharge plans.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains an environment which supports service excellence behaviors.
Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and/or employees by being aware of the safety and health policies of the hospital and adhering to and enhancing these policies via the identification reporting/correcting of unsafe conditions.
Carries out assigned tasks and duties required under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse.
